Following a rear-end collision, a pair of Atlanta attorneys offered to settle their client's injury complaint for a $100,000 policy limit, but the defendant's insurer declined.
"With negotiations concluded, Allstate ultimately paid $500,000, which was $400,000 more than what the company was contractually required to pay," said plaintiff counsel.
The company said the move will affect only Farmers-branded policies and will not affect policies sold in Florida by subsidiaries Foremost and Bristol West.
