Following a rear-end collision, a pair of Atlanta attorneys offered to settle their client's injury complaint for a $100,000 policy limit, but the defendant's insurer declined.
"With negotiations concluded, Allstate ultimately paid $500,000, which was $400,000 more than what the company was contractually required to pay," said plaintiff counsel.
The original suit was filed within the statute of limitations for claims against living people, but outside of the limit for claims against deceased people.
