Mitchell, a provider of technology, connectivity, andinformation solutions to the property & casualty claims andcollision repair industries, announces the commercial release ofDecision Point 7.3, a medical bill review and workflow solution forfirst- and third-party liability adjusters.

Continued application of agile development principles hasenabled Mitchell to rapidly deliver enhancements to the softwareapplication, including significant improvements to usability, and afocus on state- level compliance for Florida, Hawaii, Minnesota,and New York, according to the company.

One addition to the product is the introduction of automatedbill review options and support for Florida House Bill 119 (HB119). The Decision Point 7.3 release is designed to increaseadjuster efficiency by automatically applying rules subject to HB119 and built-in customizable options. This release augments themethod of identifying duplicate bills, a significant feature indelivering better results.

Implementation of a cleaner layout with multi- colored icons onthe claim level display of bills enhances the usability of theproduct to realize efficiency gains for the adjuster. Combinedreporting on third-party claims is designed to reduce handlingwhile increasing consistency. Updates to the Minnesota taximplementation and the New York NF-10 form configurability roundout the major changes for this Decision Point release.

Decision Point and ClaimIQ create a medical bill review andclaims services suite, combining integrated, automated solutionsand partner networks to meet a client's needs. Decision Pointautomates claims handling and simplifies decision-making related toclaims. ClaimIQ equips each adjuster with their own personal'industry expert' at key points in the claims handling process,enabling them to manage risk across three criticalareas—investigation, evaluation and negotiation.
