Finding the next generation of actuaries

The goal of this year’s events will be to reach high school students from demographics currently underrepresented in the actuarial profession. Developed to inform high school students about the profession, Be an Actuary Month will consist of four events being hosted throughout February by the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS)and the Society of Actuaries (SOA).

Running concurrent with Insurance Careers Month, the free actuarial-focused program will feature presentations from working actuaries on why they chose the field, introductions to the concept of risk, math games and a resource center with details on scholarships and college resources.
