National wholesale insurance broker and managing general agent Worldwide Facilities has appointed Cameron Kelly COO. Kelly has been with Worldwide Facilities for the past 11 years and most recently served as CFO.

David Higley has been appointed head of U.S. property and inland marine for Argo Group International Holdings Ltd. Higley joins Argo from The Hartford where he served as vice president, head of marine and livestock segments.

SUNUP Insurance Services has appointed Larry Pratt chief agency officer. Pratt previously served as the vice president of sales home office for Farmers Insurance, as well as the vice president of territory for the Northwest (Idaho, Oregon and Washington), California, Texas and Alabama.

Irv Kantar has been appointed to the newly created post of business manager for ID Federation, the nonprofit coalition that created the SignOn Once process for insurance professionals to connect with multiple business partners using a single, secure sign-on. Kantar spent the past 10 years at Applied Systems/IVANS Solutions, working with carriers to provide technical details of automation solutions and define direction for real-time products and services.

Standard Insurance Company has appointed Deanna Laidler compliance and ethics officer. Most recently, Laidler was senior assistant attorney general for the Oregon Department of Justice and provided guidance to various state agencies.

Ben Kanter has joined JMB Insurance as a producer to work with its private equity and real estate groups. Prior to joining the firm, he was a trader at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

ICW Group Insurance Companies has appointed John Novak chief operating and strategic execution officer, effective immediately. He previously served as managing director of Guy Carpenter.
