Today, The Night Ministry supports people experiencing homelessness based on three pillars: housing, healthcare and human connection. Our six youth housing programs offer young people access to support services and a safe place to stay, and our outreach and health teams travel across Chicago day and night to provide medical services, food, clothing, case management and other resources. During our most recent fiscal year:

Outreach & Health Programs served over 4,200 clients through more than 54,000 individual encounters.
Youth housing programs served over 500 clients, with 90% feeling safe at The Night Ministry.
Our nurse practitioners and volunteer physicians helped prevent more than 920 emergency room visits throughout Chicago, totaling $2.5 million in public health savings.
We distributed nearly 46,000 meals and created and distributed more than 26,000 hygiene kits.
More than 1,000 volunteers contributed over 4,300 hours of service.

These numbers tell only part of the story. Our employees and volunteers are crucial to bringing human connection to life. Their compassion and commitment are apparent in the care they provide and the relationships they build. Whether providing medical care or simply a friendly ear to listen, their dedication to our unhoused neighbors makes this incredible work possible.
