New York's latest proposal for producer compensation disclosureregulations has drawn criticism from risk managers while insuranceagents groups mostly support it.
The Risk and Insurance Management Society said, in a statementthe regulation posted Wednesday on the New York Department ofInsurance Web site (www.ins.state.ny.us), theproposal is viewed "as a significant retreat from the regulation'spremise of protecting the rights of insurance consumers."
