Progressive Insurance Company is offering free materials to agents to help them tap into a growing Hispanic market in the United States, the insurer said.

The products offered, Progressive explained, include consumer resources as well as agency marketing materials.

Progressive is offering a "welcome kit" for agents to hand out to new Hispanic customers. The kit includes materials in Spanish such as a checklist on what benefits were purchased, a tip sheet on what steps to take in the event of an auto accident, and information about Progressive.

Progressive said that consumers can also receive bi-lingual education materials that include a FAQ sheet on insurance, a declaration page that explains sections of the policy in Spanish, and an "Auto Insurance Basics" brochure.

For agents, Progressive said that it is offering a Hispanic market toolkit that includes print ads, radio ads, posters and other materials in Spanish to help agents grow their Hispanic business.

The company said it is also providing community event support through its agency-dedicated Web site, www.ForAgentsOnly.com, and Spanish language referral cards.

"This robust package of materials was developed to be culturally relevant and meaningful for this demographic," said Jonathan Klein, Hispanic marketing manager for Progressive. "With resources to support private passenger and commercial auto, as well as special lines, agents now have access to everything from signage for community events to co-branded advertising materials and handouts for customers that easily explain insurance."
