Professional Insurance Agents of Oregon/Idaho elected Gary Steffen as association president at their 41st annual convention held recently at the Sunriver Resort in Sunriver, Ore. Steffen is the vice president of Safe and Sound Insurance in Gladstone, Ore., and Amigos Aseguranzas in Portland, Ore. He will serve as the organization's president until June 2009.The organization also elected their board of directors. Elected individuals include:

o Chris Huwalt is president-elect. Humwalt is branch manager of Western States Insurance.
o Glenda Lile is vice president. Lile is owner and president of MIDSTATE Insurance Agency.
o Peter Ball is treasurer. Ball is owner of Corvallis Insurance Services.
o Chris Peterson is secretary. Peterson is with Fullerton & Company.
o Terry Adams is national director. Adams is with Terry Adams & Associates.
o Pete Lackner is immediate past president. Lackner is owner of Rose City Associates.

Other board members include Wendy Abel-Hatzel, Ron Baker, Tim Bangert, Dennis McGanty, Tyrone Snelling, Brian Crawford, Scott Weaver, Rich Sorem and Doug Hartley.
