The Northwest Automotive Trades Association recently conducted a survey of auto collision repair shops across the state of Oregon for its third year to see how insurance companies are really treating vehicle owners.

Results of the survey revealed that State Farm along with several Northwest-based insurers are ranking higher at customer care than some larger companies including Progressive, Allstate, Farmers, and Safeco, which all earned a grade of D+ or lower.

According to the NATA, about 650 shops around the state received the survey asking them to grade the top 22 auto insurers in the state in terms of how well each company's "policies, attitude, and payment practices ensure quality repairs and customer service for Oregon motorists." State Farm received the highest acclaims with a B+, dropping slightly from an A-.
