Catastrophe risk management service provider Risk Management Solutions (RMS), along with ImageCat , Inc. have recently released a joint research report detailing the 2007 wildfire season in the U.S.
RMS reports that the 23 fires that spread through San Diego and neighboring areas last October, rank as one of the costliest wildfires in recent history. The fire caused the destruction of more than 3,000 buildings and destroyed nearly 520,000 acres of land.
Risk management technologies company, ImageCat, teamed up with RMS to survey the damage in southern California using data from several aerial reconnaissance missions.
