The Division of Workers' Compensation has released its annual actuarial report on Special Disability Trust Fund Liabilities. An independent actuarial report must be presented to the Governor, the President of the Senate, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives by December 1st of each year. The department secured the services of Preferred Insurance Capital Consultants, LLC (PICC) for the purposes of estimating the liabilities.
The currently reported expectations are improved from PICC's report of last year. PICC's key findings are as follows; expectations from the prior year's report are in parentheses:
Total undiscounted unfunded SDTF liabilities: $1.69 billion (down from $1.86 billion).
