As of Aug. 31, Nepal’s National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority reports 903 people dead and 4,247 missing in Nepal following the Aug. 26 flash floods.
The Aug. 26 disaster destroyed villages, roads, bridges and major hydropower facilities.
Nepal Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle said the country could require $4 billion to $5 billion to rebuild, an amount approaching 10% of Nepal’s economy.
