Montvale, N.J.-based excess and surplus lines insurance broker Jimcor said it has created a new division for the placement of hard-to-place risks.

Coryn F. Thalmann, chief executive officer of Jimcor, said the division, named Jimcor Select Risk, will handle the large and more complex risks the firm continues to see, requiring exclusive brokerage attention.

“Our goal at Jimcor has always been to find ways to meet the client's needs first,” Mr. Thalmann said in a statement, “and Jimcor Select Risk is centered on what will work best for the client.”
