The Risk and Insurance Management Society Inc. said it is offering a new online course, “Developing an Environmental Risk Management Strategy.”
The course, offered through a partnership of RIMS and Environmental Strategist Inc., focuses on mitigating environmental risks such as mold, arsenic-treated lumber, silica dust and sick building syndrome, by reducing liability exposures, litigation, business interruption, compliance costs and disposal expenses, RIMS said.
The course, it was explained, contains modules to illustrate consequences of reactive strategies compared to the advantages of adopting a proactive environmental strategy.
