This sage driving advice may seem basic but the fact remains that most accidents are caused by preventable behaviors, and a notable percentage of drivers admit to knowingly engaging in dangerous acts while behind the wheel.

Consider that 42% of teens admit to texting while driving, according to TeenDriverSource, and the Colorado Department of Transportation has reported that about half of all drivers admit to talking on the phone while behind the wheel.
