After days of blocking one of the world’s key trade routes, the chartered Ever Given cargo ship that blocked the Suez Canal is now afloat, allowing for the normal resumption of traffic.

However, the potential for thousands of insurance claims to arise from the crisis that upended global trade has not floated away.
