Among Ethisphere's honorees of the World's Most Ethical Companies in 2020, five P&C insurance companies were included. The list honors 132 companies representing 21 countries and 51 industries and includes 14 first-time honorees and seven companies that have been named to the list every year since it's inception. In its 14th year, the
annual list by Ethisphere serves to recognize those that prioritize ethical behavior as a means to improve the world, while enhancing business performance. A focus on corporate social responsibility in the insurance industry is rather popular. In a recent study by McKinsey and Company and the
Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation (IICF) took a closer look at philanthropy efforts in insurance.
