It doesn't take much for someone to file a lawsuit against a company these days. While most people who are upset with a product or service will contact a company or air their grievances on social media, there are plenty of individuals who would rather get the law involved. While the reasons may vary, lawsuits are just one of many factors that all organizations must be equipped to deal with.

Fortunately, many lawsuits are frivolous and the risk that companies face is minimal. In fact, GOBankingRates found a number of ridiculous lawsuits — both in terms of why they were filed and the payments demanded — in the last decade.
