HDI Global Insurance Company appointed Jessica Cao vice president, actuary. Prior to joining HDI, Cao served as an actuarial specialist at AmWINS Specialty Casualty Solutions. Michael Robbins has been appointed to a brokerage position at Midlands Management Corporation. He most recently led Distinguished Programs' sales and business development in the Western region. Topa Insurance Group announced that John Donahue, president and CEO, is resigning from the company at the end of this year. Michael Day, a member of the Topa Insurance Group board of executives, will assume leadership of both positions while the parent company, Topa Equities Ltd., begins a search to fill Donahue's role. Erica J. Dominitz has been appointed senior U.S. property coverage officer at Aon Global Risk Consulting. She joins Aon from Marsh USA Inc., where she was a senior vice president. CSAA Insurance Group has named Andrea Hecht executive vice president and chief financial officer, and promoted chief risk officer Jeff Huebner to executive vice president. Hecht most recently served as the company's controller overseeing accounting operations. As executive vice president and chief risk officer, Huebner leads the company's risk division. Matthew Edgette has joined Concord Specialty Risk as vice president, tax insurance underwriting. For the last two years, Edgette has led tax insurance underwriting for Allied World Insurance Company. Eileen Auen has been named a member of MedRisk's board of directors. Auen is the founder of Deep Run Consulting LLC and former executive chairman of Helios, a workers' compensation ancillary company. Burns & Wilcox has announced the following appointments:
- Michelle Clark - managing director
- Sylvia Ornelas - promoted to associate vice president in addition to her current role as director, personal insurance
- John Heaner - promoted to associate managing director from underwriting manager, commercial insurance
- Pamela Alphabet - regional practice group leader, Western region, personal insurance
- John Woods - vice president, national practice group leader, transportation
