Launched in 1963, RIMS Annual Conference & Exhibition is a four-day event that attracts roughly 10,000 risk and insurance professionals. The organization's annual awards luncheon marked the first day of the event. RIMS, the risk management society™, announced Monday the winners of several industry awards given out during the RIMS 2018 Annual Conference & Exhibition Awards Luncheon in San Antonio.

Here are the insurance and risk management professionals honored during the event:

Ward Ching, managing director of the Western Region at Aon Global Risk Consulting, received the organization's most prestigious honor, the Harry and Dorothy Goodell Award, which is named after RIMS' first president. The award pays tribute to an individual who has furthered the goals of the Society and the risk management discipline through outstanding service and achievement.
