As the country awaits more news on the devastation in Texas following Hurricane Harvey, individuals and various causes are ushering in their support as best they can.

Many parts of Texas remain under water and countless individuals are awaiting rescue.

The storm has left homes, cars and businesses beyond repair. The insurance implications are through the roof.

It's safe to say that Texas will rebound stronger than ever, however — Texas is no stranger to major storms. Tropical Strom Allison caused extreme flooding in 2001, and Hurricane Ike, a category 2 storm, made landfall back in 2008.
