The FloridaOffice of Insurance Regulation has approved new requests byCitizensProperty Insurance Corporation, Florida's insurer of lastresort.
The non-profit insurer will now be able to limit coverage onnon-weather claims to $10,000, unless the policyholder agrees touse Citizens' approved contractors in its new managed repairprogram. The company can also waive deductibles on these typesof claims as a further incentive for policyholders to use themanaged repair program.
