Scott Gunter has been appointed senior vice president, Chubb Group,division president, North America commercial insurance.

In his new role, Gunter will have executive operatingresponsibility for the retail commercial property and casualtyinsurance business that serves the middle market in NorthAmerica, through 48 offices in the U.S. and Canada.

Gunter has more than 30 years of insurance industry experienceat Chubb. He most recently served as chief operating officer inChubb's North America personal risk services division. Prior to theACE acquisition of Chubb in January 2016, he served as Chubbcommercial insurance global chief underwriting officer. He willreport to Paul Krump, executive vice president, Chubb Grouppresident, North America commercial and personal insurance.

Gunter succeeds Steven R. Pozzi who will retire at theend of this year. Through the remainder of 2017, Pozzi will beavailable to Gunter to ensure a successful transition, and he willalso serve as an advisor on special projects for Chubb's NorthAmerica and overseas general divisions.

Gunter has an honours bachelor of administration degreefrom WilfridLaurier University and an executive management certificate fromQueen's University.
