Columbus, Ohio-based brokerage group Assurex Global said it elected Matt Donnelly as chairman of its board of directors. Donnelly remains the managing director of Liverpool, England-based independent insurance broker Griffiths & Armour.
New York City-based insurance giant American International Group Inc. said it has appointed Hugh Tamassia chief enterprise architect. He joins from New York City-based JPMorgan Chase, where he was chief technology officer.
AIG also said it appointed Peter Y. Solmssen executive vice president and general counsel. He joins from his own private consulting practice.
