Alexandria, Virginia-based financial literacy program InVEST announced that Lindsey Shank, CIC, has been elected returned to its national board as an agent member. She is BB&T Insurance's regional agency operations manager in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Boynton Beach, Florida-based property and casualty insurance retailer Brightway Insurance, the Strum and Hite Agency said it has appointed Joe Palka producer. He joins from ADT Security Services, where he was sales manager.

St. James, Barbados-based captive management firm USA Risk Group Ltd. said CEO Andrew Sargeant will retire effective Dec. 31. He joined the company in 1995.

Danville, California-based insurance software company Trov said it has appointed Neil Sands head of global partnerships. He joins from Salesforce, where he was chief experience officer.

London-based Neon said it has appointed Olly Reeves chief risk officer, effective Nov. 1. He joins from Lloyd's of London, where he was head of risk management.

Connecticut-based Hartford Financial Services Group Inc. said it has appointed Rick Ciullo chief operating officer of surety and fidelity bonds underwriter subsidiary, Hartford Bond. Ciullo joins from Chubb, where he was COO for its surety business.

New York City-based insurance broker Marsh LLC said it has appointed Martin South president of its U.S. and Canada division, effective Sept. 1. South had been CEO of Marsh’s Asia-Pacific region. He joined Marsh in 2007, and is based in New York City.

Marsh also announced that South is replacing Rob Bentley, who is now working on strategic initiatives for parent company Marsh & McLennan Cos.’ Risk and insurance services segment.
