(Bloomberg) -- Toyota Motor Corp. said its Lexus luxury brandhas received complaints from U.S. customers Tuesday about on-boardnavigation systems that are malfunctioning.

Cindy Knight, a spokeswoman for the world’s largest automaker,said satellite communications to the navigation systems have beendisrupted. Lexus’s Customer Experience Center has receivedcomplaints from the Chicago area and from southern U.S. states, shesaid.

“It seems to be kind of widespread,” Knight said. “We havenot found the root cause yet.”

Lexus had the highest ranking of any brand in an annualvehicle dependability study released byJ.D. Power & Associates in February. But problemswith infotainment, navigation and in-vehicle communication systemswere rising and accounted for 20 percent of all customercomplaints, J.D. Power said.
