GrangeInsurance announced the promotion of TheresaMason to president of Grange Life Insurance Co. Mason willbe responsible for growing Grange Life’s business and leading theorganization’s operations, including product development andmarketing. Mason joined Grange Life as controller in 2006 and waspromoted to the life company’s assistant vice president of financein 2009. Prior to joining Grange Life, Mason was an auditor withErnst & Young.

Marsh announced thatDavid Marino has joined the company to lead itsU.S. Construction Practice, which serves more than 1,200 clientsand places nearly $1 billion in premiums annually. In his new role,Marino will be responsible for ensuring Marsh’s continued deliveryof its risk advisory and transactional services to clientsacross the construction industry. Marino brings to Marsh more than20 years of insurance and construction industry experience. Hepreviously served as regional managing director of the greater NewYork area.

Crawford & Co. announced thestepping down of Jeffrey T. Bowman, who has servedas president and CEO for almost eight years. Bowman served thecompany for more than 24 years. While Crawford & Co. conducts asearch for a permanent CEO, the company's board appointed boardmember Harsha V. Agadi interim CEO.

CNA named JulieStephenson senior vice president and chiefunderwriting officer for CNA Commercial. Based in Chicago,Stephenson will be responsible for underwriting oversight andgovernance for all products and lines of business written withincommercial. Julie brings to Commercial 18 years of leadership andinsurance experience, and most recently served as senior vicepresident and global liability manager for the Chubb Group ofInsurance Cos.

Nikki Lankford has been appointed regional vicepresident for LibertyMutual Insurance’s Metro New York region within thecompany’s Business Insurance operation. Based in New York City,Lankford will oversee growth of small to mid-market business thereand on Long Island. Lankford will work with the company’s appointedindependent agents and brokers, managing local underwritingoperations and territory managers who provide a single point ofaccess to a broad product line for businesses.

I-CAR, the Inter-Industry Conference on AutoCollision Repair, announced the appointment of NickNotte as director of finance and operations. Nottewill lead the accounting and finance, data services, informationtechnology, project management and lean process improvement teams.Nott recently served as chief operating officer of PDRInternational.

Liz Smith has been promoted to presidentat Assurance, in recognition ofthe momentum and growth within Assurance’s employee benefitsdivision. In her new capacity, Liz will oversee the employeebenefits division, while working alongside president Dan Klaras onorganizational initiatives. Prior to joining Assurance, Smithserved as senior vice president, practice leader of employeebenefits for a national insurance brokerage.
