(Bloomberg) -- American International Group Inc. hired GauravGarg from Marsh & McLennan Cos.’ Mercer unit as chief executiveofficer of its personal-insurance division.
|Garg returns to the New York-based insurer, where he worked for12 years before joining Mercer, AIG said Tuesday in a statement. Hewill report to Kevin Hogan, CEO of global consumer insurance, andoversee the auto, personal property and personal accidentlines.
|“Gaurav is an insurance veteran with proven leadership skillsand a diverse global perspective,” Hogan said in the statement.
|Garg was president of growth markets for Mercer in 22 countriesincluding in the Middle East, Africa and Latin America. He will besucceeded by David Anderson, according to a statement from Merceron Tuesday.
