Insurance Global Operations (IGO) announced it has rebranded as zags. In addition to the name change, zags announced it will move company headquarters from Paris to New York to establish its identity as a U.S.-based company and target the North American market.

West Bend Mutual Insurance Co. is the 50th client to have gone into production with Accenture's Duck Creek Policy and Duck Creek Billing software. With the initial implementation of the software across 14 commercial lines, West Bend will be better equipped to serve its independent insurance agents through streamlined operations, increased flexibility and accelerated product development.

OneShield Inc. revealed the release of an enterprise-level software solution for the lifecycle management of insurance claims, completing the enterprise suite of OneShield insurance software products. OneShield Claims is currently in development and is projected be available in the marketplace by the first quarter of 2015.

IVANS Insurance Solutions announced IVANS Connect, a new insurance industry conference focused on connectivity and information exchange among carriers, agencies and insured customers through technology. IVANS Connect 2014 will take place at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort in Orlando, Fla. from September 14-18, coinciding with Applied Net, one of the largest events for agents, brokers, carrier executives and industry professionals.

Mergers & Acquisitions

OneShield agreed to acquire key strategic and intellectual property assets of Clear Data Strategies LLC, a Connecticut-based company that provides subscription cloud-based and site-installed insurance software solutions for claims processing and policy administration for P&C markets.
