A Muskegon man convicted earlier this yearof arson and insurance fraud faces 55 years in prison after beingsentenced in U.S. District Court.

Gerald Eugene Singer, 74, must also pay$653,140 in restitution to the victims of his crimes.

A jury convicted Singer in March on two counts of arson, threecounts of using fire to commit mail fraud, one count of mail fraudand five counts of tax fraud.
