Specialty insurer Torus says it has formed a new division tocentralize the delivery and development of its online ESCAPE brokerportals.
|The Torus eCommerce unit, led by Linc Trimble,will streamline the quote-to-bind-to-issue process for U.S.wholesalers serving America's small business marketplace throughESCAPE and enhance the company's underwriting support and servicewhile strengthening product and feature development for users.
|Torus says an increasing number of brokers are transactingbusiness through the ESCAPE portals, which currently include ESCAPEExcess Casualty, ESCAPE Healthcare and ESCAPE MiscellaneousProfessional Liability.
|Trimble is supported by the original leader of ESCAPE forexcess Liability, Kevin Mooney, as well as Brian Blessing,director of eCommerce business development; Kardiner Cadet,IT/Architecture; Dan Dijak, new product development; and NinaLim, underwriting services team leader, among others.
