Specialty insurer Torus says it has formed a new division tocentralize the delivery and development of its online ESCAPE brokerportals.

The Torus eCommerce unit, led by Linc Trimble,will streamline the quote-to-bind-to-issue process for U.S.wholesalers serving America's small business marketplace throughESCAPE and enhance the company's underwriting support and servicewhile strengthening product and feature development for users.

Torus says an increasing number of brokers are transactingbusiness through the ESCAPE portals, which currently include ESCAPEExcess Casualty, ESCAPE Healthcare and ESCAPE MiscellaneousProfessional Liability.

Trimble is supported by the original leader of ESCAPE forexcess Liability, Kevin Mooney, as well as Brian Blessing,director of eCommerce business development; Kardiner Cadet,IT/Architecture; Dan Dijak, new product development; and NinaLim, underwriting services team leader, among others.
