Evomada announces that its beta application of a smartphone appfor the insurance industry is being released initially to selectedinsurance agencies throughout Southern California.

The Evomada app will allow auto ID cards and certificates ofinsurance to be displayed on a smart phone device. A nationwiderollout is expected later this year.

California Assembly Bill 1708 went into effect in January, making it the seventh state to allow motorists to display theirauto ID cards on smart phones.

Thomas Anderson, president of Evomada said,

“Evomada fills a void in the marketplace with useful tools thatare not currently available for independent insurance agents,” saysThomas Anderson, president of Evomada. “By working together withother agency partners, business clients and customers, Evomada willexpand and grow with the user.”

Evomada comes from the Greek work “Evo” meaning evolution and“omada” meaning team, according to Anderson. The concept behindEvomada is that agencies will have more power and functionality byworking together than by each individual agency spending thousandsof dollars trying to create and promote their mobile app with lessuseful features.

Most current agency mobile applications are simply an extensionof an existing agency website that offers little long termpractical applications for the user or the agency staff. Evomada'sapp differs from other products due to unique proprietary clientretention features that allows agencies to partner with theirexisting clients, which can reduce or eliminate their mobile appsupport fees.

“Evomada was developed by insurance agents to give them anaffordable mobile app that takes less time and expense to set up,promote and maintain than others currently on the market,” saysGrant Hestor, chief technology officer for Evomada. “With all theuseful features, it would be difficult for a single agency toreplicate these features without spending tens of thousands ofdollars in additional programming costs.”

Evomada future plans allow for continuing enhancements on futureversions to include auto ID functionality, certificates, claims, personal lines rating, and document storage. Larger agencies canopt to have their own agency logo on the app for an additionalprogramming charge.

User groups will also help enhance future releases of Evomada. These features will help transform the way independent agentscommunicate with their customers and companies in the future.

Evomada has also garnered interest from several carriers who arelooking at innovative ways to interact with their agents via theirsmartphones or tablets. Company news or emergency bulletins couldbe pushed out to Evomada users immediately.

The app will be released to the iTunes store by early fall as afree download for all agency customers.
