Teetelli's experience in the insurance industry spans over three decades and includes time spent in specialty insurance product development, design and implementation, market development, reinsurance intermediation, and senior level management of day-to-day insurance operations.

Teetelli has also been engaged as an expert in insurance litigation matters, as well as offering professional consulting services. He has chaired several State of New York Insurance Department industry panels consisting of various regulatory and legislative bodies and property & casualty insurance industry representatives, formed to identify issues and propose solutions for the restructuring of underwriting protocols and administration for certain sectors of the New York Automobile Insurance Plan.
