Starr Insurance Holdings has selected the PolicyWriter solution from Adaptik Corporation as its policy administration platform for its general casualty, energy, environmental, and commercial auto lines of business.

Zurich in North America announced its special investigations unit (SIU) has adopted the latest version of ISO's ClaimDirector fraud analytics service from Verisk Insurance Solutions to enhance the company's ability to detect and prevent fraud. A key component of ClaimDirector is a claims scoring system that helps distinguish between meritorious claims and those that are suspicious. The tool helps Zurich sort through thousands of claims and highlight those that may warrant further attention by the SIU.

Appalachian Underwriters has selected and successfully deployed the Quicksolver Enterprise policy rating platform from Instec for Appalachian's workers' compensation line of business. Appalachian sought a new system to replace their prior rating software that would decrease time to market for new programs and deliver a new level of self-reliance previously unavailable with the company's legacy system.

The Kentucky Workers' Compensation Fund and Care West have adopted the InsureRight platform from Valen Analytics. These and other recent customer engagements total $2 billion in workers' compensation premium being added to Valen's contributory database and shows momentum in the adoption of analytics with commercial lines and an industry-wide investment in solutions to increase underwriting profitability.
