The Ace Group says it has created a new specialty casualtydivision within its U.S. E&S insurer.

Ace Westchester's Specialty Casualty division will feature awide array of primary and excess casualty products madeavailable through both wholesale and retail brokeragedistribution. This new division will offer an expanded set of primary casualty, excess liability, and automobile liabilityproducts directed at industries such as construction, auto andrailroad transportation, energy and public entities.

It will also offer specialty-casualty coverage for complexcasualty-related transactions.

“The formation of the new specialty casualty division will makea wider array of products available to our wholesale and retaildistribution partners,” said Bruce Kessler, division president, AceWestchester.

Dean Andrighetto has been appointed to lead the group asdivision president. Andrighetto will oversee allunderwriting, marketing and operations for the business.Andrighetto most recently served as president, Ace WestchesterCasualty.

The division brings together Ace USA's retail Custom Casualtyunit, including the energy, specialty casualty, and combinedgeneral liability and pollution (Ace PaC), and public entityproduct lines with Ace Westchester's primary casualty, excesscasualty, and transportation groups. The new Ace WestchesterSpecialty Casualty division will offer the following productsand services:

  • Construction, General Liability(Stand-Alone)
  • Specialty General Liability
  • Energy Liability
  • Public Entity
  • Railroad Liability
  • Transportation Auto includingHazmat
  • Pollution and Primary Casualty (AcePaC)
  • Custom products for complextransactions

Ace will continue to offer mono-line excess casualty productsseparately to wholesale and retail distribution channelsthrough its existing dedicated underwriting units within ACEWestchester and ACE USA, respectively.
