Wardlaw Claims Service now offers the WCS App, a mobile tool designed to help adjusters scope losses more efficiently. Using the app, which is compatible with the Applie iPhone and iPad, adjusters can input of a variety of loss data and upload photos.
"It is an adjuster's toolkit that fits in a pocket," says Jennifer Peranteau, Wardlaw's vice president of marketing. "[The app] is making our adjusters more efficient because they can carry less paper. The claim detail screen in the app [provides] nearly all of the printed loss report information, so they can enter loss data and photos from the site (without their computer). It can also act as a GPS so users can obtain loss locations and then map them."
Introduced at the recent PLRB/LIRB conference in Boston, the app also acts as a notepad, whereby adjusters can write loss notes, as well as take property photos, labeling and then uploading them to Wardlaw's claims handling system, Catapult™, in one step, while at a loss site. Everything completed on the phone is immediately in Catapult, so manual syncing is not required. Photos can also be saved to the iPhone/iPad camera roll for upload later, and then synced with iTunes to build photo sheets.
