Kentucky has become the 11th state to permit drivers to use electronic versions of their insurance cards to show proof of coverage. 

Gov. Steve Beshear signed the bill, HB 164, last week.

Kentucky joins 10 states that now permit drivers to use either paper or their cell phone to show proof of insurance during a traffic stop.
