The new course, International InsuranceFundamentals, instructs participants on the toolsnecessary to construct an international insurance program for anorganization based in the United States. The course uses acase-based approach with real-world examples to illustrate complexconcepts, making it ideal for new hires and for experiencedprofessionals who are otherwise unfamiliar with the internationalmarket.

The Institutes adds that the CPCU Society's InternationalInsurance Interest Group (3iG) was instrumental in the developmentof this course. Topics include:

  • Overview of international insurance
  • Identifying international loss exposures
  • Regulatory compliance
  • Insurer and broker networks
  • Reverse flow business
  • Selecting international insurance solutions
