COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—The insurance industry appears to makingmore of an investment in training the future generation of leaders,but executives wondered if insurers are devoting resources to trainyounger workers who might be less inclined to stick with thecompany over the long term.

The executives were addressing a question posed to them by BobHartwig, president of the Insurance Information Institute, during apanel discussion here at the 99th annual InsuranceLeadership Forum of the Council of Insurance Agents &Brokers.

Hartwig asked whether or not the insurance industry is doingenough to bring in the next generation of leaders, and suggestedthat the industry may be doing a poor job at attracting the talentit needs.
