Oceanwide, a developer of cloud-based software solutions for theinsurance industry, and Appulate, a provider of formsparsing and data bridging technology, announce a partnership inwhich Oceanwide will offer Appulate Uplink as an integratedcomponent  of Bridge,  its multi-line policyadministration and distribution  product.

The partnership will enable Oceanwide to offer its customersbest-of-breed connectivity to agency management systems to helpreduce data entry. In turn, Appulate will gain a distributionpartner that offers a far broader solution for insurancecarriers.

Uplink is a middleware product that can bridge data from theagent's internal management software or be used by a carrier as aback-office forms parsing tool. It allows ACORD data to be movedthroughout the submission workflow to improve efficiency, andreduce the time associated with completing carrier applicationforms without the costly transaction fees associated with othersolutions. When integrated with Oceanwide Bridge, the solutionprovides carriers- with a complete insurance distribution systemthat automates the entire submission workflow from quote generationto binding and issuance.
