Crawford & Co. appointed Emanuel V.Lauria executive vice president of sales and marketing forthe global organization. Lauria will focus on developing andimplementing a sales and marketing plan as well as directing sales,marketing communications, branding and product development.

Aonannounced three hires at its Indianapolis office. FrankTreco will take on the position of senior vice presidentfor Aon Risk Solutions and specialize in retail, life sciences,financial services and manufacturing industries. DanielleCalahan joins the office as director of data analytics forAon Risk Solutions and will oversee the collection, analyzation andinterpretation of health care claims from vendors and carriers.Bob Boyer will take on the position of senior vicepresident and central region practice leader for Aon Hewitt. Hewill be responsible for client management teams and employeebenefit strategy.

Rob Carron was named account executive forWillis NorthAmercia Yacht Practice. Carron was previously vice president ofsenior sales and risk consultant, yacht practice for Marsh USA Inc.His expertise will allow Willis to build its Superyacht group.

SafeAutohas, for the first time in its history, has chosen a CEO fromoutside of its founding family. Ron Davies, formersenior vice president with AllState Insurance Co., will joinSafeAuto as CEO in mid-August.

Markel Corp. annouced three promotions within itsexecutive team: Jeff Lamb will join the productline team as executive underwriting officer, overseeing wholesaleunderwriting; Wendy Houser, previously Mid SouthMarkel office director of marketing, will be returning to thatoffice, after some time at Markel's Richmond office, as managingdirector of production and underwriting; EvansNash was named managing director of the wholesalemarketing department, where he will focus on the corporate accountexectuive program.

Digital Insurance acquired DSG BenefitsGroup. DSG is headquartered in Dallas and will be Digital'sfirst entry into the Texas market. DSG will operate under theDigital Benefit Advisors name.

Ironshore Inc. launched a commercial crime product.Coverage includes both internal threats, such as assets stolen byan employee, as well as external, such as check forgery, theft andtransfer fraud via the internet. The product will be offered byIronshore's Lloyd's Pembroke Syndicate 4000 in London and willoffer limits up to £20 million.

Markel Specialty Programs partnered withAll Risks Ltd. to develop an excesshired/non-owned auto liability program. The program will accept abroad range of clients such as newspaper delivery, home healthcare,sales representatives and rental centers.
