Entries are invited for the Commercial Agency Awards for Excellence program, run jointly by National Underwriter and American Agent & Broker. The Commercial Insurance Agency of the Year receives three iPads to share with its staff.

NU and AA&B editors will work in tandem with industry judges to cite one organization as the overall 2012 “Commercial Insurance Agency of the Year,” in additional to four category awards for excellence in “Sales and Marketing,” “Customer Service,” “Technology and Operations,” and “Recruitment and Training.”

Agencies will be judged based on a variety of factors, including:

  • Growth and development
  • Management of client relationships
  • Technology aptitude and efficiency
  • Innovative solutions to sales challenges
  • Projection and maintenance of brand identity

The winning agencies will be profiled in the Oct. 8 issue of NU, as well as in the November issue of AA&B. Principals from the winning agencies will participate in a roundtable discussion on “The Future of the Independent Agent,” hosted by the two publications, with edited highlights appearing in the Nov. 7 edition of NU and the December issue of AA&B.

For entry details, including an application and rules, visit www.propertycasualty360.com/CAAFE-Awards/ or e-mail AA&B managing editor Melissa Hillebrand at mhillebrand@sbmedia.com. Entries are due July 20.
