ACORD announces the launch of a new educational initiativecalled the ACORD Knowledge Center. The goal is to provide membersas well as industry participants with a knowledge base of webinars,documents, classes, and other items.

"We're going to start off with a series of webinars that willprovide educational insights into a variety of topics includingthose related to ACORD Standards implementations," says BethGrossman, chief learning officer of ACORD. "From there, with thehelp and support of ACORD members, we'll begin growing theknowledge center and include a variety of documents and otherresources."

ACORD provides educational assets to the industry from guidesand directories to recordings, video, and books. However, they wereoften contained within specific communities. Withthe ACORD Knowledge Center, these resources will be moreeasily accessible, shared among groups, and will cross-pollinateACORD's various communities.

The current plan is to launch the webinar series in June andfocus on implementations as well as specific topics includingemployee benefits, exposure reporting, telematics, ande-signatures.

"These are truly education-focused events," says Grossman. "Wewant people to walk away with inspiration, education, and ideasthat will benefit both themselves and their organizations. As thecenter grows, so will the diversity and possible number ofwebinars."
