Disruption is the central theme for the 2012 report, accordingto Susanna Gotsch, lead analyst for CCC. It defines how a broadrange of factors impact the automotive claims and collision repairindustry, she adds.

“Some disruption is good, if you consider how technology hasinterrupted otherwise linear processes and made us more efficient,”says Gotsch. “However, other disruptions such as the devastatingtsunami inJapan, the flooding inThailand, and the significantcatastrophe activity in 2011, negatively impacted the entire partssupply chain, depleting inventory and driving up costs.”

|

The Crash Course report examines these and otherfactors, including the continued impact of the global economicmeltdown of 2008, and the many technology innovations changingconsumer expectations. It also provides insights as to howrepairers and carriers can continue to compete in today'senvironment.
