Former New Jersey Insurance Commissioner Holly Bakke will join DataCede Companies, an insurance-consulting firm.
The move comes with the acquisition by Princeton, N.J.-based DataCede of Strategic Initiatives Management Group, which was headed by Bakke and Francesca Bliss.
Bakke was named managing director of DataCede’s Regulatory and Runoff Consulting Practice. She will be based in the firm’s corporate headquarters.
Bakke was commissioner for three years, resigning in 2005. She is credited with helping to shepherd in the state’s auto-insurance reform measures.
Bliss was named principal consultant and will work with state insurance guaranty associations and state agencies.
