|Travelers has rolled out IntelliDrive Fleet Safety Solutions,which uses telematics technology to implement fleet-safetyprograms.
|IntelliDrive is being offered through Travelers for local andintermediate fleet operations and through Northland InsuranceCompany, a Travelers subsidiary that provides insurance forlong-haul operations.
|The devices use a range of technologies, including GPS andaccelerometers, to measure the habits of drivers, and thatinformation is sent to the company.
|Travelers says companies can monitor how quickly a vehiclebrakes and whether the vehicle's driver is speeding or operatingoutside of a pre-determined route or time. Businesses can use thedata to assess and mitigate the risks of various drivingbehaviors.
|IntelliDrive also offers guidance from risk-control consultantsalong with current, relevant information on telematics so customerscan implement and manage their own program.
