Three executives at MainStreet America Group have been promoted to new roles. The superregional property & casualty insurer, headquartered inJacksonville, Fla., has appointed Steve Peeters as COO andexecutive vice president of insurance operations, Bruce Fox as vicepresident of legal services, and Dan Gaynor as vice president ofcommercial lines. All will remain based in Jacksonville.

As COO, Peeters will oversee the carrier's commercial lines,personal lines, bonds and assumed reinsurance product lines, aswell as its pricing, information technology, claims and customerservice functions. He will continue to report to Chairman,President and CEO Tom Van Berkel.

Peeters joined Main Street America in February 2010 as vicepresident and head of commercial lines and became senior vicepresident of product operations in August 2010. He previously waspresident and COO of Jacksonville-based Zurich Insurance Services,and also held executive roles at Zurich North America and HartfordFinancial Services.

Fox, Main Street America's general counsel and secretary, leadsthe company's corporate law and state filings functions. Heprovides legal advice and counsel to all company personnel onmatters affecting interests of The Main Street America Group, itsfive subsidiaries and two affiliates. Fox is also responsible forensuring that the organization's business practices, policies andall other dealings meet state and federal regulatory requirements.Fox will continue to report to Van Berkel.

Fox joined the carrier in 2002 as a senior field attorney andwas promoted to managing attorney in 2006, where he oversaw itsstaff counsel operations in Auburn, Mass. His legal career alsoincludes roles as managing attorney at American InternationalGroup, director of legal services for the contract negotiation andbenchmarking services division of AMR Research Inc., and seniortrial attorney at two Boston-area law firms.

Gaynor leads Main Street America's commercial lines productgroup and is responsible for the company's commercial lines productpremium growth and profitability results. Additionally, Gaynor isaccountable for development, management and administration of allof Main Street America's commercial lines products and oversees itscommercial lines underwriting function. Gaynor will continue toreport to Peeters.

Prior to joining the company in February 2011 as director,commercial lines product and underwriting, Gaynor was resident vicepresident at Harleysville Insurance. He has also held leadershippositions at Zurich North America, USF&G (a Zurich subsidiary)and Ohio Casualty Group.
