If there is one consistent discussion point in the insurancetechnology debate it centers around the need for modern coresolutions. I've been listening to industry analysts and consultants discuss theissue for years to the point where I wondered if anyone was trulylistening to what these industry expertswere saying.

Of course the industry is listening, but knowing what to do andactually going out and doing it are two different situations. Thismay not be the best comparison, but look at your personal life.There are a lot of things we want in life that we may think weneed—or more likely, just really want—but we put off buying a newhome or a new car or the iPad2 for a number of legitimatereasons.

For some of us, those debates usually come down to money, butoften the answer is a real fear of replacing something that alreadyworks with something that has the potential to make life easier ormore enjoyable. Potential, though, is often viewed as a curse.
