The Association of Professional Insurance Women (APIW) has selected Pina Albo, president of the reinsurance division of Munich Reinsurance America, as this year's recipient of the APIW Insurance Woman of the Year Award.
Albo joined Munich Re in 1992 and became executive head of the department for the United Kingdom and Ireland before traveling to the United States to join Munich Reinsurance America in 2008. Today, she leads a team of 300 professionals and is responsible for $1.8 billion in premium written directly and through brokers.
